Grade of 5000 series is mostly used in laser cutting due to present of magnesium in alloy. This makes it stronger than other series. We can cut though other series grade of sheet on customer's request as cutting thickness for Aluminium is up to 20mm.

Most of our decorative laser cut screens are cut in 3mm aluminium and can be powder coated in any Colorbond colour. Send your own DXF design or choose one from the website.
Tips for aluminium
- Tell us the alloy and temper (such as 5052 or 6061) if it matters for forming or welding.
- Keep fine details wider than the sheet thickness for the cleanest cut.
- Plan bend directions in advance, because some tempers crack if folded the wrong way.
- Ask about powder coating or anodising if you need a finished surface.
